Have you ever heard that there is not enough time to do things? This is something that I hear and tend to say at times. I have learned having three small kids at home, that I have to make time and find the time to do things. I know when we think of organizing, our minds tend to navigate towards organizing closets, drawers, etc., but time is HUGE part of lives that we need to organize and re-evaluate.
Juggling all the different hats that we as women wear, it is imperative that we look at each day and see where we let nuggets of time slip by us. I believe that when I look at my life I have seen where I have wasted precious time with the children because of other things that I feel are a priority. Instead of playing on the floor with them, I am cleaning or organizing things. It hit me when they look at me and ask me to stop cleaning to play with them. After that happened, my priorities have changed. My time management of playing and investing in my kids is more important than dirty dishes.
So, I have to consciously look at my day to see how I can fit everything in. That is where the ”To Do” list comes in handy as well as making use of the spare moments. Instead of watching a little something on TV while the kids are napping, I clean and make use of that time. When you think of time, it is so precious and passes by so quickly.
Work on using time wisely and treasure the small moments. When you organize your time, everything else will fall into place. This takes discipline and intentional thinking on our part.
Embrace EACH day and what it holds. Your time is a gift that God has given us. Let’s make wise use of HIS time.
